The first stop after Saint Raphael is Dramont. The 36th American division who came to liberate France landed here the 15 August 1944. A stele has been placed here as a reminder.
Further on, Agay, surmounted by Rastel Agay that reaches 288 meters, is found. The harbour is perfect for bathing. Still in the Var department, Anthéor near Cape Roux is found. An impressive ravine and many creeks are found here near the Roches de Saint Barthélemy. The same goes for Trayas. After three hours drive, you will reach the Peak of Cape Roux. From up here, the whole region, including the Massif des Maures, can be discovered.
Next Stop, Miramar a small seaside resort. This very chic resort is situated opposite Figueirette Bay. A short route will take you to the viewpoint of Esquillon, which is really worth the trouble. At last, you will reach Théoule-sur-mer, a cute golfing resort of Napoule. The castle that is found here, used to be an old soap factory. |
