Once you have gone through the gate and the walked up the path lined with one hundred year old pine trees, you'll discover a superb olive grove and then the building and country house that comprise the Moulin d'Aure. The swimming pool, oleander, an ancient poplar and a forged iron arbour half-hidden in amongst the vines complete this picture of Eden Provence-style.
Each of the 19 rooms has its own identity, combining quilts and cotton piqués, painted furniture, limestone and stucco patina.
The restaurant, opposite the heated swimming pool, offers resolutely Mediterranean cuisine, with market produce, flavoured with home-made olive oil. |
